Brazilian Falls — from downtown hotels
The wide view of the whole falls, along the Brazilian-side walkways, with an accompanying guide. From downtown hotels.

The Biocentro is an Atlantic Forest interpretation centre: a short route, some forty minutes, through a bromeliad garden, orchid house, serpentarium and butterfly garden — where, in certain seasons, you follow the butterfly life cycle. Minutes away, La Aripuca rebuilds at giant scale the Guaraní trap it is named after, made of wood reclaimed from native trees, and that is what it is about: what has been lost of the Paraná forest.
The two sit close together in Puerto Iguazú and fit comfortably into a morning or an afternoon — the natural fit for half a day free between two bigger programmes. La Aripuca has a restaurant, an ice cream shop and a café on the grounds.
Admission to the Biocentro and to La Aripuca
Bring valid ID for the border crossing. La Aripuca charges from age eight, and visitors with a disability certificate go free. The Biocentro butterfly garden depends on the season.
