The Poço Preto trail runs nine kilometres of dense forest inside the National Park, away from the boardwalk circuit — it is where the park stops being scenery and becomes forest. By bike you cover the distance without spending the day, and the quiet matters: this is the stretch with the best chance of meeting wildlife.
The trail is inside the National Park, so the fee is the same as for the boardwalk visit — anyone already spending the day there uses the same admission. The route is flat and needs no training, but it is nine kilometres: bring water.
